David Rubinger, one of Israel's premier photographers, was born in Vienna in 1924 and
moved to Israel at the age of 15.
His work as a photojournalist began after his WWII service, and his incredible career
has tracked the unfolding of modern Israel.
Rubinger becamme a staff photographer for TIME Magazine in 1971, and won the
prestigious Israel prize in 1997 for his lifework in photography.
