Residents remember their first jobs

As pastor of First United Methodist Church, the Rev. Chris Andrews is one of the most prominent ministers in Baton Rouge. But Andrews didn't start out at the top. His first job was delivering newspapers for his hometown journal, the Opelousas Daily World. Andrews was one of several area residents who spoke to The Advocate about their first jobs -- those initial paychecks they received as children and teens. Like everyone who shared a story, Andrews counted his first job experience as formative.
